  6. so this $2000 gpu is as good as a rtx 2070, WOW!!!!! i don't think i'll buy it. i'll put together/buy a really good gaming computer instead.

  7. What and no Thunderbolt3 for that price

  8. 3600 dlls? Yes, is expensive, but as an engineer, I can totally see myself buying one if needed… and if I had the spare money.

  9. The most surprising part of this is that cad packages render at more that 15fps.

  10. I'm seeing one minor downside to this machine. As it relies on convection, heat transfer is highly dependent on the difference in temperature between the components and the exterior. This would only work efficiently for higher loads and in cold countries

  11. "3,500 dollars" so alienware or razer laptop? Nice

  12. Glad to finally hear a mention for engineers and scientists. Much of the technology showcased on this channel is really aimed at these groups – including and especially the server chips, which get packed in to clusters by the hundreds.

  13. A review or at least an opinion on their new MintBox3 Pro would be much appreciated. It has a 1660 gpu instead of the quadro and has a lower but still steep price of $2,499.00. I'm considering it since I love all pcs who come with linux instead of windows and because I really like the concept.

  14. Alex as a host is verry nice 👍 also edit work is somehow better too. I’d like to see Alex as a host more. But some funny or funky stuff Linus is the best. Anyway liked it!

  15. I vouch for the ad on the PC37x headset!

  16. It's odd that their is little to no coverage of theses computers. They work exceptionally well even if they are a bit on the costly side and their customer services reps need a serious attitude adjustment. A Threadripper 3950x or 3960x would be the best choices for the next airtop. Particularly where stability is concerned.

  17. Is there a silent pc case I can build at home that isn't mega bucks?

  18. Watching this in 2020 after Linus' livestream about being burnt out. If/when Linus decides to step down, Alex should take over as host!

  19. remove the side panel, add some longer cables so you can attach the side panel on the other side with a hinge, fire up furmark and you've got a panini press!

  20. Cried cuz my computer is like ten times bigger and that shits a leafblower

  21. Swap the GPU for a capture card and it may be the perfect dedicated streaming PC

  22. Oh boy, that mic needs a de-esser badly.

  23. You could probably build the equivalent from $500 worth of new parts, some of your old parts, and just put it behind your desk and run the cables up around the backside to your monitor, keyboard, and mouse… and not hear a thing. Bonus, you now have more free desk real estate. Paypal the $3000 you save to choppergirl @ air-war.org

I'm actually amazed with this much rtypical ampant financial waste, how Linus Tech Tips continues to stay in operation.

  24. alex you have a big brain, i like it … <3

  25. Over 45C I aint diggin it.
